Garden hoses bring a lot of convenience to our gardening life, garden hoses help us transport water to all corners of the garden, ensuring the healthy growth of plants in our garden. However, no matter whether the garden hose is expensive or of high quality, it is inevitable that some problems will occur when the number of times we use it accumulates to a certain level over time.
→So what would be some common problems? As a Chinese factory with 15 years of experience in garden hose production, Union Booster have been continuously improving our products and developing new products based on customer feedback. We are committed to make every customer get good feedback from their market. So for the following common problems, we will bring you together to know how to solve them.
If we use and protect the hose properly, the place where leaks usually occur is where the hose connects to the tap or nozzle. This leak will continue throughout use and the flow of water in the hose will be affected.
→When we find leaks in these two areas, disconnect the hose from the water gun or faucet and check for worn or missing gaskets inside the hose, replacing them with new rubber gaskets will solve the problem. If replacing the washer still produces a leak, try wrapping the threads of the male connector a few times with plumbing tape. Often, some water pipes are purchased with special plumbing tape included.
Even though the kinks in the water pipes didn't have a big impact on our watering, the kinks will always make us suffer when we move the water pipes, and kinking them in a fixed position for a long time can lead to damage to the water pipes in that position.
We can note the following→
Purchase hose reels or hooks to store them on in an orderly fashion after use.
Where a kink has developed, gently press the kink back into place with your hand.
When storing the hose, follow the rotation of the hose and roll the hose into a round shape following the hose naturally.
Over time, prolonged exposure to sunlight or extreme weather for your garden hose can easily lead to cracks or wear and tear on the surface of the hose.
→There are different repair kits for small and large holes. Small holes only need to be repaired using a hose with a patch or sealant. Large holes require the distance to be measured in advance and the damage to this section needs to be cut out and replaced with a new section. Connect them together with corresponding tools to avoid leaks. When replacing a section of hose, repurchase the hose in the same size as the original.
